The changing face of retail: the end of consumerism, or the democratisation of capitalism?

2018 certainly appeared to be yet another brutal year on the high street with the felling of yet more seemingly untouchable ‘giants’. So is bricks and mortar retail finished? To answer this we need to analyse the ‘mechanics’ behind what is actually going on.  All too often the ‘internet’ is now considered the ‘panacea’ for retailers. However, simply pitching bricks and mortar vs. ‘The Internet’ is grossly over-simplifying things to say the least! ‘Internet Shopping’ is reliant on super-efficient distribution…

Back to our roots…

This weekend we had another opportunity to do more of what we did when we first started…scouring our favourite haunts for truly one-off pieces! Indeed, our first sale this morning was one of the beautiful vintage pieces we found over the weekend; before I’d even had time to price it!…

We decided to enter this year and a whole family effort has resulted in this hot air balloon lady to tie in with this year’s theme of ‘air’. It’s been great fun to get involved after many years of ‘intending to’ and I…
